Is the knowledge acquisition related to the strategic and non-strategic decision-making of companies' managers? The explanation of answer for this question is the aim of this research. Research Methodology This research is based on the practical result, "explanatory" aim, "sectional" time, relationship among the variables of "correlation" and the method of survey. Population members of the research sample are 350 managers of companies established in the industrial towns of two Mazandaran and Golestan provinces. Instrument of the data collection is a questionnaire containing 54 questions in Likert range. The data analysis has been conducted by the techniques of descriptive and inferential statistics and Amos 22 and LISREL statistical software SPSS. Results and Findings Results of testing hypotheses and analyzing answer of the research questions shows that the knowledge acquisition has a positive and significant effect on the strategic decision-making (decision-making by the rational and intuitive styles), but hasn’t a significant effect on the non-strategic decision-making (decision-making by the dependent, instantaneous and avoidant styles)

The study responds to two key questions: Which one of the information literacy components has a greater impact on intellectual capital and its components?  And How are the quantity and quality of effectiveness? This study is based on the relationship between information literacy and intellectual capital among the staff of the Department of Education in Zanjan  province. According to objective, result and methodology, this study can be considered descriptive - explanatory, applied and the surveying (field work), respectively. The study population included 245 employees working in the general office of Department of Education in Zanjan that the sample size was determined as 152 subjects by simple random sampling method. The data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. The research hypotheses were tested by using structural equation modeling method, dispersion indices, Pearson test and Kolmogorov–Smirnov test and by Lisrel and SPSS applications. The results showed that only some components of information literacy can improve intellectual capital. Among the ten components, five components of the information literacy have significant impact on intellectual capital. Finally, it was suggested due to increasing volume of information within the Department of Education in Zanjan, providing useful programs to empower people in proper understanding of information sources, access to information and purposeful use of them in such organizations can increase information literacy, and thereby, would improve intellectual capital. Based on cognitive school of strategic management, the mental (intellectual) map of managers and employees is highly effective on survival and development of their companies. The number of mental maps that managers and employees of a company have on situations and categories (quantity) and the quality (accuracy and precision) of mind maps can be decisive factors in the success of their companies. One of the most important factors affecting the mind map is knowledge sharing. This study seeks to explain the dimensions of this impact. Based on objective, this is a descriptive - explanatory study, while it is an applied one according to the result. It is cross-sectional research based on time, and a surveying according to the methodology. The target population members included the managers and employees of a large industrial complex in the North West of Iran. The sampling method was a stratified randomized approach, and the sample size was calculated using the Cochran formula as 237 subjects. The data were collected by a researcher-made questionnaire containing 36 questions. The results showed that knowledge sharing affects the formation of a strategic map of managers and employees significantly and differently through each of the three categories of organizational factors, personal factors, and knowledge factors. This means that each of these knowledge sharing approaches affects each of the eight mind maps with different quality and quantity. Also, knowledge sharing is not a universal current among all managers and employees; in addition, it is unclear that sharing of knowledge will essentially boost more useful and functional mental maps, and perhaps, it would act otherwise. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct the process of knowledge-sharing to continuously integrate and improve mind maps of decision-takers and decision-makers

How is the quantity and quality of data analysis approach to strategic decision making? This study has been aimed to explain the answer. The quantity means the amount of approach application. And the quality is related to the approach comparison with the intuitive one as well as its application in four strategic decision making situations – decision making based on little information, fast decision making, risky and ambiguous conditions. Methodology In this study, target population includes senior managers of the relevant public and private institutions. Predictor (i.e. analysis approach) and criterion (i.e. strategic decision making) variables have three and four components, respectively. Data were collected by Likert questionnaire including multiple choice questions. The method of data collection was direct. The questionnaire reliability and validity were approved. Data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistical techniques such as t-test. Results Three methods of analysis approach are used in senior managers' strategic decision making process, but the application of this approach is less than intuitive one. Senior government and non-government managers tend to use intuitive approach. Adaptation of global climate change projections for local level application: Case study, special forest ecosystem, Astara

Abstract During recent years, a series of climate projections provided for surface temperature increase and precipitation changes over the next century in various time slices. National institutes are using downscaling projections for more precise results. In this research study, various climate change projections in global, continental, regional and local scales have been examined in special forest ecosystem in Astara. To study past climate conditions, main climatic factors namely temperature and precipitation as well as relative humidity and wind were considered. Downscaling climate projections in national and local scales have some agreement and disagreement with available global, continental and regional projections. According to all reports in different scales temperature of Astara region, in last half century has been increased. In the longer future time period, the study area will face with higher values of increasing temperature. According to the scenario A1B (2090-2099) in the winter, western part of Hyrcanian forest including Astara will experience 10% increment of precipitation and in the summer 20% decrement of precipitation. This is in agreement with Central Asia sub-region projection and in disagreement with West Asia sub-region projection. For the future projection of precipitation in Astara area, there are no significant differences between global, Central Asia sub-region, Middle East, national and local downscaling projections
